After washing, rinse the vehicle thoroughly with clear water. To minimize water spotting, utilize a silicone squeegee or chamois for drying, and finish with a clean microfiber cloth.

For isolated stains, apply Simple Green or isopropyl rubbing alcohol for spot cleaning. After cleaning, rinse the area with cool water. Avoid using tire dressing for spot cleaning, as it may splatter onto the wrap and cause unsightly stains. Refrain from cleaning the wrap when it is hot, as this can warp the material and result in wrinkling.

You may use an automated brushless car wash for your wrapped vehicle, although hand washing tends to be more thorough and safer. Brush-based car washes can be abrasive to the wrap, potentially leading to degradation and peeling. Automated washes utilizing only water spray are generally safe for most wraps.

If you use a pressure washer, make sure the pressure is no more than 2,000 psi. Use a spray nozzle with a 40-degree wide angle and keep the water temperature under 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Stay at least 12 inches away from the edges of the car.

Prolonged exposure to sunlight and other outdoor conditions (such as rain, smog, debris, and road pollutants) can degrade the wrap, particularly on horizontal surfaces like the roof, trunk lid, and hood. These areas attract pollutants, which are exacerbated by UV exposure. Whenever possible, park your vehicle in a garage or under a protective canopy. If outdoor parking is unavoidable, seek shaded areas whenever possible.

It is crucial to address bird droppings and challenging stains promptly. Delaying action can complicate removal and inflict permanent damage to the wrap. Begin by soaking the soiled area with warm, soapy water for several minutes, then rinse and dry with a microfiber cloth. For persistent contaminants, consider using denatured alcohol, 3M® Citrus Base Cleaner, Meguiar’s Gold Class™ Bug and Stain Remover, or a mixture of two parts isopropyl alcohol to one part water. Always conduct a patch test on a less visible area to verify that the cleaner does not harm the wrap. Avoid solvents or oil-based cleaning agents.
